Artis was born and raised in Virginia. He started writing poetry and then transitioned to rap.  He was influenced by artists like Tupac, Too Short, Wu-Tang, etc.  

Artis’ style reflects a combination of poetry and passion.  He has performed at several venues around the Virginia, North Carolina, and Atlanta areas.  Artis founded NightSkool Ent. to build a machine that would help organize and promote artists. He has a featured song “Trained To Go” with Project Pat. He also has a line dance song “The VA Slide” with “The Line Dance King” Big Mucci. 

Artis is passionate about pushing forward. He’s currently writing music for features with other NightSkool artists on their projects, helping plan their upcoming releases and helping build the NightSkool brand and team. Follow the movement @nightskoolent
